Grants for Books and Grants for Programs! A Special Thanks!
As librarian it kind of feels like I'm kid again and it's christmas morning here at Jefferson Public Library! Jefferson received the Books for Children Grant from the Libri Foundation. We received over $1400 worth of new childrens, juvenile and young adult books. Thanks to the Libri Foundation, in addition a special grant from Bill Strawbridge and Meg Wallhagen gave us an additonal $350 worth of Math and Science books. Please come in and check out our special display of all these new books! Don't forget to take a few home to read!
Jefferson Public Library also received the Kids, Books and Arts grant for our Summer Reading Program. Hampstead Stage Company will be performing at our kickoff event on Wednesday, June 24th at 6:00pm at Jefferson Town Hall. Funding for the Kids Books and the Arts event is provided by the Saul O.Sidore Memorial Foundation in memory of Rebecca Lee Spitz, a grant from the NH State Council on on the Arts & the National Endowment of the Arts as well as funds administered by the NH State Library and provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
