How can you support Jefferson Public Library?

Friends of Jefferson Public Library is an organization committed to supporting the library.  Joining them is an easy way to help support the library.

Other ways you can help is to volunteer in our children's room.  There are monthly children's Craft, Science Saturday, Lego Club and I'm always looking for volunteers.   If you want to help doing other things around the library whether it be helping with a project, shelving, or even cleaning feel free contact me.

Yes, the library can always use monetary help with our limited budget and there is a donation jar in the library.  Specific items that are wanted are listed below:

  • Electronic donations:  are you upgrading your kindle, ipad, laptop is it still in good condition  e.g. it  still works but you got a gift or it doesn't have tons of bells and whistles you want.... consider donating to the library.

Yes, we take book donations and these donations may be added to our collection or put in the booksale at librarian's descretion.  Please see our gift/donation policy and feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Sorry, we can not take encyclopedia sets, readers digests books, textbooks or magazines.   We are most interested in fiction and non-fiction less than 10 year old, DVD's and audio books on CD.  Unfortunately, VHS tapes and audio books on cassette have limited usage.   I do ask that donations be brought during library hours and not left outside, since weather can be very unpredictable.
